Historian:

As the historian your main goal is to make sure your class understands the history of your region including predominate Native American groups, European Explorers, prominent leaders, and settlements. Discuss whether the settlements were successful and how they met their needs. Also explain why people ended up in your region and how they impacted the region. How did these people interact through history? What were their relationships like and how did it affect them?



        o Name and describe any predominate Native American groups that lived in this region. Explain their social dynamics, the food resources, and their dwellings. Discuss their relationships with other Native American groups, European explorers, and settlers in this region.
        o Name the European explorers who traveled through this region, from which country they originated, and what they hoped to gain from their explorations. Describe the relationship that they had with the Natives that they encountered.
       o Explain what settlements were established and where they were established within the region. Were the settlements successful? How did the settlers meet their needs.
