As the economist your main goal is to make sure the class knows how people made a living in your region. Did they work in industry or agriculture? What are some older companies or businesses in your region? What do they produce and when were they established? You will look at each state, but summarize your information for your final product. Record your information on the graphic organizer.

        o As the nation has grown from settlement to modern times, how has this region’s economy changed and grown? On what was the region’s economy originally based, and what is it based on now? How has the implementation of technology affected the economy of the region?
